For centuries, people have been creating mosaics to decorate everything from cathedrals to contemporary bathrooms to tabletops to wall hangings. Taking inspiration from this unique art form, in this class you will design your own piece to be framed and ready to take a special place on your wall. Come to the first class with a relatively simple design. Books will be available for inspiration as well! Stencil designs are good inspiration too! The OAC has lots of broken dishes and you'll be able to break more...with the intention of creating your design. During the first two sessions you'll begin this process. During the third class, the individual pieces will be glued into a backing and grout applied. You may bring a frame from home no larger than 8x10 or the OAC has miscellaneous frames available for purchase. Please note that the first class session is from 6:30-8:30 pm and the following two sessions will be 6:30-8 pm.
