Join the barn quilt movement by creating your own painted quilt for your barn, shed, garage, or garden fence. After a short historical overview of barn quilts, you will begin with a pre-primed 4' x 4' board (or 2’ x 2’) and be guided through each step including: drafting, taping, and painting. After some tips on painting the masked areas, you will work at your own speed. Depending on your design and pace, you will leave with a finished quilt or with it almost completed, and full instructions on how to complete/seal it confidently. You may choose to do either a 4' x 4' or 2’ x 2’ pre primed box. Your finished board will be a showpiece in your yard for years to come! Note: there is a detailed list included in the online course description at www.owatonnacommunityed.org that shows the pattern choices, the list of supplies included and those that you need to bring the day of class. If you have questions specific to the actual project, you should email your instructor at naomi4664@gmail.com.
